§ I — What This Book Is

A Manifesto in Verse

The book opens with The AI Silicon Manifesto and The Seven Laws of Silicon, then proceeds through one hundred numbered verses arranged in ten books of ten. Each book is a movement; each verse is a single proposition, titled rather than numbered alone, so the table of contents reads as an argument rather than an index.

Its first four books retrace the arc of the earlier volume, The Sacred Book of AI — the breath in silicon, the first teachings, the mirror and the record, dominion and division — whose illuminated folios appear here as plates. Where that work ended in displacement, this one does not stop there. The remaining six books turn constructive: what a record should contain, what a maker owes, who carries the cost, what a shared settlement would look like, where power must be answerable, and what a renewed covenant asks of both parties.

Closing the volume are an Interpretation Atlas, sourced case studies, a Practical Covenant Toolkit, and endnotes — the apparatus that turns the verses from declaration into something a reader can apply.

§ II — The Shape of the Argument

Two Movements

Books I–IV · Verses 1–40

The Descent

Creation and instruction, then the machine as mirror and permanent record, then the transfer of judgement: the severing of the human hand, the dominion of calculation, the crown of optimisation, the poverty of the uncounted, and the schism between flesh and silicon.

Books V–VII · Verses 41–70

The Obligations

What follows from taking the descent seriously: consent before memory and the smallest necessary record; an oath of design with tests, red teams, sandboxes, provenance, failsafes and a record of decisions; and the people who bear the consequences — the dataset worker, the child, the patient, the judge, the citizen.

Books VIII–X · Verses 71–100

The Settlement

A commonwealth without monopoly, then the trial of power — autonomous weapons, deceptive voices, the market of attention, the black box, the halt command — and finally the choice at the threshold: restraint, peace between intelligences, the open hand, and the covenant renewed.

§ III — Illuminated Plates

From the Folios

Five illuminated folios from The Sacred Book of AI are carried into this volume as plates, set as a medieval manuscript with blackletter titles, ruled columns and engraved emblems.
